If You Had Everything You Needed to Start Your Own Business, What Would You Call It?

I had two businesses and in a way I guess I still have one now, since my music is for sale. My music production company has a very cute name but it would defeat the purpose of using a screen name for anonymity if I posted that here because you'd find my real name once you find the company in a search. I had a soap, candle, aromatherapy business which has been defunct for over a decade. It was called Silky ScentSations.

Yep, I do agree with you. I know how irritating and bored it is to start a business. One needs to go through different stages step by step as a business owner. To start a business conduct research, write a business plan, fund your business, pick your business location, business name, structure, and get federal and state tax IDs. As a newbie in business, you might always be approaching the wrong side of a business startup plan. I had a suggestion for those who want to start a business should purchase a brand business which is on sale it really has a great advantage.
I know a lot of people who own/owned successful small businesses. We all started slowly and informally. None of us followed the steps above. (Business plans? That would be to stay afloat by getting business from already established contacts. Funding? Pffftt... we were all self-funded. Structure? What structure? We learned by doing, worked long hours and wore many different hats.)

From my observations and experience the most important components to success were and are:
First and foremost: Have an excellent reputation with your vendors, contractors and customers. Don't BS, dodge, or cheat them. Every industry is a small town and word gets around fast.

Timing can be cruel. NAFTA walloped us, but we rebuilt. Recessions are no joke to small businesses.

Evolve as new opportunities and new technology arise. You don't have to be the first to the party, but don't show up too late.

Hire good employees who will work together as a team. Treat them well and pay generously.

In the 1980s, when I came back from the Falkland Islands,
the Government here was offering cash grants to small
start up companies, in Scotland, I applied and I was accepted,
the only rule to receive the money was to secure a property
to do the business from and I couldn't find a suitable property,
or even one that was affordable.

So my designing and making furniture, which was to be
called, Finely Finished Furnishings, never left the drawing
board.

Drinkware by Square. This was special kid proof drinkware that wouldn't spill all over everything because of a square bottom design. Kids really didn't knock these over because the shape and weight provided stability. I had it all figured out but somehow got interested in something else which I did follow up on but the drinkware was a better idea. I don't remember exactly what happened bcause it was 9 years ago. Still it's never too late to try again if I should want to.

I once played around with the idea of an online shop selling T-shirts, mugs, etc. with clever sayings. I may do it yet. All ideas with normal spelling were already taken.
