If you had to be stranded anywhere where would you choose?

I'd want to be stranded on a fairly large, very sparsely populated, clothing optional tropical island.......of course I'd also want all the amenities like a large modern home, servants, food, water, cable TV, good scotch and of course an unlimited supply of three layer Chocolate Cake.

If stranded by myself... On a golf course with my clubs in weather ranging from 55 degrees F to 80 degrees F, slight breeze, and clear sky.
If stranded with one person... With my wife, anywhere as long as it was with her.
If stranded with someone other than my wife... With any or all of our kids, anywhere as long as it was with family.
If stranded with someone other than my family... With most any group of golfers on most any nice golf course.

If just geographical location to be stranded... in the Southeast U.S., north of Florida, where southern hospitality is the culture of that area.

Nice, on the Cote d'Azure.

Great climate (most of the time, the Mistral is not good) wonderful food, a long way from Marseilles which is a BIG plus, close to les Alpes Maritime, and strangely reminiscent of North Wales but without the rain and proximity to England.

I would like to be stranded in any of the Redwood forests or Sequoia National parks along the California coastal regions of the U.S. I have been through them three times now and I find it very humbling to be walking among those beautiful trees and to think how long they have been there and the history they have lived through. The silence and solitude of the place to me is almost holy. I'd like a nice cozy cabin, enough wood to keep me warm through the winter months and enough food. Books to read, crafts and needlework, my beloved photo albums, warm comfortable clothes for hiking and unfortunately a GPS because I get lost all the time,no sense of direction. a phone only for emergency and calling my family once in awhile, and absolutely no TV. A little kitty or puppy for companionship. I would need that because without the TV I know my hubby won't be joining me.

Oh, Good Lord, Ruth.....are we living with the same guy?

Near the sea, preferably a beachy bay, in a temperate climate that had fresh water and an area to grow, and as long as I took my seed collection with me I would be just fine.

I am not sure if I could rub two sticks together though so matches might be a good idea.

Of course I would miss my electric bed and memory foam so that may pose a problem.

I would need some decent ptst to cook all this fresh fish etc in so maybe I should travel with an emergency kitchen.

My Chihuahuas' would have to go so I would need to take their little sofas and their treat box.

I would have to have some craftwork so I would have to take a few bolts of fabric to quilt and perhaps my kiln

Morning tea is crucial so tea bags, would have to go and of course a china cup to drink it from.

Topo f the line toilet tissue is a must so maybe a few cases of that.

I live in Birkenstocks so an extra few pairs in case I am there a long time

You know I think I maybe will change my mind, count my blessings and stay put.
