I'll Be the First Santa Hat Trend Setter

I think I related this Christmas story before, but I figure it's worth another go...

For a stocking stuffer, my brother bought me a product called Three Pines deodorant from the Dollar Store. I used it and broke out in a big rash under my armpits.

Ever since 'Three Pines' has been the catch phrase and code word in our family for a lousy gift! lol!

Christmas is more of a secular celebration for me. When i worked in HR at University of Wyoming the last 9+ yrs of my main 'working life' one of my duties was to walk across campus at least once a day (sometimes twice) to deliver paperwork to payroll dept and pick up paperwork dept clerks on that end of campus dropped off there for us. Monday after Thanksgiving i would start wearing the hat in my current temporary profile pic. For one thing it was warm.

Most people would be hustling along looking solemn unless in animated conversation with a companion--but the face of nearly every one would light up with a smile when they saw hat. a few would stop me so they could read the buttons. ("We are all leaves from the same tree." & "God Bless the whole world, no exceptions." It got a similar reaction at local crafts fair too. As i was heading for my car another elderly woman and a young girl were exiting their car. The woman called to me that her Granddaughter got excited--"Look, there's Santa!"
