I'm back from an unexpected 'time out"

For the past 10 days I've been having an unexpected 'time out',nothing wrong with me,I'm fine I can't say the same for my Chromebook,the power wasn't working.It drove me crazy not being able to be here every day.My morning routine was out of whack .Some days the power would go on,other days nothing
I asked my close friend,Marcia if she could take me to Best Buy on Tues,see if they could figure out what was wrong.The 'geek squad' clerk,Jeff was very helpful,he thought it was a battery issue,it was. I only had this for 3 years I decided to buy a new updated version ,luckily it was on sale,had to wait 2 more days for it to be delivered this afternoon
I'm a 'happy camper' right now,missed being here at my favorite forum. Sue aka MQ

I'm so sorry you had to go through all that MQ!! Computer and device problems are very frustrating, especially since we've come to rely on them so much. Glad you were able to get a new one...on sale (love those two words)!

Glad you're back in action again Sue. It's frustrating when anything happens to our devices, especially for technophobes like myself. Today my mouse stopped working on my desktop, no light. I took the mouse from my laptop to see if that would work, nope. I was in 'when in doubt, freak out' mode. :p My husband asked if I rebooted, so although I thought I had a mouse that wasn't functioning, I did an illegal shutdown and restart. Light on mouse, everything back to 'normal'...life is good again.
 
I can relate. My Macbook had malware attached and Bestbuy's Geek Squad couldn't even figure out how to get rid of it. They installed a new hard drive and it is better than new. Glad you are back and able to post!

These first few words had me shocked wondering what you could have said here that would have put you, of all people, in a time out, i.e. suspended from posting. Glad my brief thought wasn’t true.

Missed you moviequeen...haven't seen Radishrose for a little while either. Hope she's not computer challenged, too. Glad you are back and all fixed up. We usually do learn "something" each time we are in the computer ozone!

So have you now armed yourself with excellent malware protection? I used to use Malware Bytes but it's not necessary since I've been using NordVPN.
