I'm Befuddled! A Question About My Printer

When I go to print with my "Brother HL-2240 Printer", it just defaults to "File Name" which is left blank and it won't print.

Any solutions? Is it my driver? It's driving me batty!

Did you try rebooting your computer and turning the printer off and back on?
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the driver.
 
Unplug your printer both the power and connection to the PC from the back of the printer (Unplug IE remove) wait a minute or two plug it back in and see if that works?..still no go..go to settingsPrinter and make sure it is set as DEFAULT. Also, check if in Device manager the Printer is recognized, no yellow exclamation mark.
 
Bingo!

When I pressed Ctrl and P to print, I changed the setting to my printer name in the Destination Box. It worked! it only took me a week to figure it out, but I'm very pleased now.
