I'm done with long TV seasons, yawn.

The US still has a lot of 20-24 episodes per series TV shows, which bore me no end (;)). Over the past 5+ years I've been watching a lot of UK and Aussie shows, both serious and light, partly because they tend to have a smaller episode count. The streaming apps know this too and are also usually just 4-10 episodes per series. Though the wait may seem long for the next series, there are others just coming out that reset your mind. Another plus is many of my preferred shows only last a few series, like 4 runs of 8 episodes. A year later you see the same favorite actors in something new.

Being older can be routine and boring enough without seemingly endless TV seasons.
