I'm Feeling A Little Guilty About Something I'm Feeding Deja

Not because of the food itself, but because of the way it's packaged. It's Fancy Feast Petites. This is the one food I never have to worry about her being finicky about....she cleans her bowls when I feed her this. But the containers are plastic, single serve and not recyclable in my city. I am trying to be conscious of our environmental issues with too much plastics. She used to eat Friskies shreds, then meaty bits, all in cans, but now she turns her nose up at those. She kind of likes Friskies Indoor cat food varieties, which are similar, but not as much as the Petites, So I do alternate with the Indoor variety, also dry food. I'd hate to stop buying the food she loves.

I'm sorry about that. I have heard many places only recycle 1 and 2 labeled plastics. That had been news to me.

Thank you. Yes, my city is one that only accepts 1 & 2. The plastic seems to be the same as the kind that is used for the disinfectant wipe container, a #2, I just recycled but the bottoms of the Petite contaiers are labled #5.
