I'm So Glad I Am Not Like This Guy ! Some Women out There May Have Run into One Like Him

Ha ! Never worked for me. I guess I didn't get the "magical" laundry basket.

Truth be known, our 50 years has been a partnership... and still is. We share laundry and dish washing duties. I always make the bed after laundry because the mattress is too heavy for her to get the fitted bottom sheet on. Other days, she makes the bed. I always handle trash duties simple because of the physical work involved. I had to hit the road early yesterday morning. Saw a few dishes left from the evening before. Went ahead and did them up so she wouldn't have to face them when she got up.

I understand the video was a spoof. Yet, it is amazing listening to some of these construction workers over the years as to how little they treasure the relationships they have. I still blame it on the "me" attitude.

I still have the vivid memory of my mom taking me to the laundry room when I was around 10 to show me how to operate the washing machine and dryer and telling me I was now responsible for my own laundry. One of many great lessons of life she taught me at an early age.

Think his "Genie" left him. At least he didn't use that old phrase "that is women's work". She didn't appear to be a woman that would take his stuff. All kidding aside, couples need to be helpmates. It is really helpful to train boys from young. Teach them how to cook, how to clean, do wash and sew. It's by far the greatest gift you could ever give your daughter-in-law! It also good to know if the wife gets sick. Also good to involve some cross-training. Fathers can teach their daughters some basics enough to get by on their own.
