I'm Touring The United States.....Virtually

I have been watching Aerial America on Paramount+, which features the 50 states plus U.S. territories in each nearly hour episode. The scenery is beautiful and I'm learning a lot about each state's agriculture, industry and history. The writing is good and they have not held back on telling the stories of how indigenous people were enslaved and/or pushed off their land. Unfortunately there are many such tales. But overall, I'm finding taking these virtual tours very enjoyable. I got started on this kick by watching Aerial New Zealand, a place I always thought is so beautiful. Have you ever watched these kinds of shows?

In the episode about N.J., my timeshare was shown in the first 30 second preview of what was to come. I was way more impressed with N.J. and Wisconsin than California, the first three I watched. Here's a full episode from YouTube if you care to check the program out. It says they have 20 of them. I haven't watched this one yet. Have you ever watched this kind of programming? Or have you toured some states during road trips?

Update: It has come to my attention that the original video I posted cannot be viewed on this forum. But it can be viewed directly on YouTube, just put Aerial America in their search field. @JonSR77 also brought up that episodes can be watched for free on The Smithsonian Channel..the original channel where they aired. However, episodes 2 and beyond require that you sign in with your T.V. provider (if you have one). Those of us who "cut the cord" will not be able to do that.

Love that series!

We were amazed when one of the aerial cameras zoomed in on the Spousal Equivalent's great-great-great-great grandfather's memorial spire in a historic cemetery, which we had just visited a few months before.

There also is another series called, I believe, "Over __________" (wherever they're filming".) No dialog, just captions, but beautiful music plays. It's mostly natural scenes.

Aerial America was originally a program of the Smithsonian Channel.

Looks like all the episodes are there, for free...

Aerial America is a television series airing on the Smithsonian Channel. Each episode is an aerial video tour of a U.S. state or destination in the United States. The narrated show consists entirely of aerial scenes using the Cineflex V14HD gyro-stabilized camera system mounted under the "chin" of a helicopter. It features flyovers of historical landmarks, natural areas such as national parks, and well-known buildings and homes in urban areas. The series has aired an episode for each state as well as others that have showcased popular destinations such as Hollywood and small towns in the U.S

My wife and I have watched a bunch of these. Always great programs...

Thank you so much ❣️ Your fix for the matter seemed to be better than mine! Only problem is that to watch other than episode one, the Smithsonian Channel requires viewers to unlock other episodes by signing in with their T.V. provider. Those of us who "cut the cord" and stream cannot do that. Plus I notice there's a 24 hour pass feature...don't know what that's all about. So for anyone who doesn't have cable service (T.V. provider) I was going to suggest that they go directly to You Tube, enter Aerial America in their search and access it that way. I am going to change my OP to add this information. @hollydolly and @Tish @Alligatorob @Pecos

Sure, no problem, glad to help.

Like I said, my wife and I have been watching those for years. So, you know, I had some info and search was pretty easy after I remembered it was through the Smithsonian...
