I'm watching ice skating right now

I so very much enjoy watching ice skaters. They are so beautiful and graceful on the ice. It just occurred to me how relaxing it is to me. I think I should DVR these and play them back whenever I want to de- stress.

I opened your thread because I wondered if you had ponds already iced thick enough for skating in your area, and then realized you were probably talking about TV. I agree that it's a beautiful sport to watch, and definitely an activity I'm terrible at.

Oh, I love to watch ice skating and as a kid enjoyed doing it as well. I doubt I could even stand up on them now. I'm sure my bad knee would not appreciate the attempt, but I have my memories.

That was one of our favorite winter pastimes! There were "rinks" that were created by flooding fields, ponds etc. Some places would make bonfires too. We had an indoor rink for years but I am not certain if that is there anymore.

I like watching it too BW! I also like ice dancing and pairs. What always amazes me is that when they sometimes fall, they pop up so fast and just keep going. Wish I could just stand up on skates again!

I live in Texas. No frozen ponds where I live. Sometimes we do have ice storms, but they aren't fun . I never learned to ice skate. They have the rinks in malls now, but I don't like malls . I am amazed at the grace of the skaters

That sounds like great fun Carla. I know I was watching them today they pop back up so fast like nothing happened when they fall. Very fast.
