I'm watching The Wizard of Oz....

…...and the Flying Monkeys STILL freak me out! I had nightmares about them when I was little.

I was afraid of the Munchkin voices. Each and every time that portion of the movie came on, I'd quickly turn the volume off. As one who got into singing, at an early age, voices were always a big deal to me. I still get weirded out by the songs, and the way the Munchkins look.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!! The flying monkeys freak me out too... I can watch Wizard of Oz over and over, but every single time, I fast forward through the monkey scene!!!

We watched part of it, but flipped over to the NFL game. Excellent movie, but gets old watching it. Didn't the last one of the Munchkins die earlier this year?

My niece, now age 51, and I were reminiscent recently and talked about that movie. When she was little the wicked witch scared her so much she would run screaming from the room. She would only come back when I told her Toto was back.

The monkeys never bothered me, but they are weird.

When you think about it the movie was pretty violent/scary for little kids.
