In My Backyard this Morning: Wildlife

@Lizzie00 up here in CT we can only fill our feeders in the winter as (we hope) the black bears we have running amok are hibernating. Our condo community backs up to some woods and they have been seen raiding some of the dumpsters back there.

I hear ya on the ‘we hope‘ thing lol.
They raid the trash cans here if one puts their trash out on the curb the night before pickup, i learned the hard way

My backyard this morning. In the 3rd picture the cow elk is bugling a bit, which isn't normal for a cow. Cows and calfs normally communicate w a series of whistles, whines, and barks, while bugling is typical of bulls during the rut. The animal is in magnificent condition; well prepared for her winter challenges, she's most likely pregnant.
