In the Eye of the Storm... Discovery Channel

We saw there was a story about the flooding from Helene in the mountains of NC, so we recorded a few episodes that might interest us. Tonight we watched an episode about a tornado and "Direcho" that combined last year in Texas. They affected both Houston and Valley View (outside Fort Worth). There were absolutely intense scenes from people recording the incidents from restaurants and office buildings, as well as a video story about a Storm Chaser that picked up a family of 4 that were running along the highway after being hit by a tornado outside of Houston. The little boy was severely cut and bleeding and he took all of them to the closest emergency room.

Again, the scenes are intense but we don't see them on the news. They show the real intensity of these storms. This may be considered "sensational" but we've been through hurricanes in Florida and tornadoes in Texas so we found it interesting. It isn't for everyone. Hubby pulled a blanket up over his face! This is just something totally different from the crime stories and home improvement episodes we usually watch.
