Just spoke with my son, who is a nurse. He was just told that the two hospitals for whom he works will start cutting the nurses hours next week, due to the financial hardships they are facing. Many hospitals were in trouble before the pandemic, but things have taken a turn for the worse as people are not going to the hospitals for elective surgeries and at times not even for emergency situations.

Too many non covid procedures and functions in the medical industry put off/put on hold. Could lead to a backlog and overtime for many of those employees. There are serious procedures and visits being canceled/not happening meaning bad conditions could get worse or will no longer be manageable.
