infinity

We're here for less than an instant. So why should the concept of time or space never ending fascinate us so much?

That instant is a full lifetime for us. Since we are sentient, aware beings we get fascinated by stuff, particulary like How did we get here? What's out there?
Welcome.

Ecclesiastes 3:10-12
Expanded Bible
"I saw the ·hard work [task] God has given people to ·do [keep them occupied; 1:13].

God has ·given them a desire to know the future [L placed eternity/an awareness of time/or ignorance in their hearts]. He ·does everything just right and on time [L makes everything appropriate/beautiful in its time], but people can never ·completely understand what he is doing [L discover/find the work that God does from beginning to end; C humans cannot discern the “right time”].

So I ·realize [know] that ·the best thing [L there is nothing better] for them is to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live."

Just the very idea of infinity opens us up to many suppositions and theories which are both mind bending and great exercise for our brain matter. While our instantaneous time is on this globe, who's to say what happens to our kinetic energy which cannot either be created nor destroyed? My son and I have had much brain storming about all this on so many levels in the past, that anything seems possible. We used to drive my late daughter in law crazy with our theorizing.

P.S. Welcome to our forum. Stick around and join the fun.

prolly im guessing...its becuz we can figure most other things out.

the large universe is beyond our scope.

its like the first pic the astronauts got of the Earth planet from space...theyd never seen earth like that before.
None of us had ever seen it.

but, im just guessing.
