When you got your vaccine, what kind of identification did you have to show?
In Canada, at least in BC, we registered ahead of time based on age or other criteria. We showed our provincial medical card & DL or similar ID. This was recorded along with a code for the type of vaccine we were given. Essentially it’s all in a data base. We were given a proof of vaccine card. Should we want to travel to another country that requires it, it could be verified.
The reason I’m asking is when our borders open to the US on August 9th, basically only fully vaccinated will be allowed in. There’s an online registration that must be filled out prior to arriving at the border. That’s about all we’ve been told.
The US isn’t opening their borders yet.
