What have you learnt by watching an instructional video?

I paint and have learnt quite a few techniques from watching art instruction videos for example various flowers, shells etc.

I've learned more than I have time to list, I frequent them often on Youtube. I am thinking of using them to learn a new language next, only problem is retaining the information. :turnaround:

I've watched many. The most recent were a video on how to properly fold a fitted sheet. I also learned to break toothpicks and poke the pieces in screw hole for a kitchen cabinet hinge and put screw back in. The toothpicks actually worked and cabinet door is nice and snug. I'd have never figured that out on my own.

I watched a video on how to change the brake shoes on my vehicle.

It looks easy.

Also watched a video on installing tiles for a backsplash. Lots of good tips before starting. Gave me the confidence to do it.

I learned how to take out my own stitches (not surgical).
I learned how to fix the timing on my sewing machine.
Many, many things. Love/hate the internet!

I learned how to do repairs on my swamp cooler and how to replace the innards of my toilet tank. There were others, but those are the two that stand out.

How to trouble shoot a start up problem on my a/c unit. $19.00 price for the capacitor that failed. No $65.00 for the diagnostic service call or the labor cost and typical 200% or more mark up on the capacitor. Replace the top motor mount on my sons Versa and other ysefull tips on repairs I've struggeled with in the past. Love that you tube for visuals on repairs.
