Every year, Aberdeen performing arts hosts a series of events under the banner of "Granite Noir" (Aberdeen is called The Granite city). Currently at the law courts, actors are re-enacting famous murder trials, forensic scientists and pathologists are giving talks on real life crime investigations and an expert chiropractor is giving a lecture on the real injuries sustained in staged (and real) fights. This is one for crime writers, actors etc..

There are more 'ordinary' talks by famous crime writers and on Saturday, we're going to a talk about Peterhead gaol (now a museum), allegedly, the toughest prison in Scotland and nicknamed "The hate factory".

Well, it makes a change from "My fair lady".

I didn't see this thread before. Sounds like some very interesting stuff is going on there. If I was there I'd enjoy that
