Yale Sociologist discusses Covid, natural immunity, vaccinations, the economy, the search for meaning, impact on religion, the "great resignation", etc. Pretty thorough. Worth taking 17 minutes to watch.

"The fact that we're fed up with this plague has no bearing on the virus. The virus is just doing its thing."

Viruses will be viruses. :ROFLMAO:

Nicolaus Christakis is an interesting orator. I watched that video last night and then again just now. I don't think I'll be reading his book, but I'm sure many sociologists around the world will, as well as others who can't get enough covid-19 information. Personally, I'm tired of hearing about it, but this was a little different since it was about how the pandemic is affecting society, and what will happen as we progress through the different stages of the pandemic.

The social sciences are fascinating. Whenever I see a story about the mentality of anti-vaxxers or anti-maskers, I always take a look at them in an effort to understand their mentality a little better.
