International Women’s Day - March 8th

National women's day!

I'm thankful for all women have accomplished but there is a darker side to this. Real truth!

I assume that all the folks celebrating International Women's Day know it's history. That it's first observance was held on February 28, 1909, in New York and organized by the Socialist Party of America. That it was first a nationally recognized holiday in Soviet Russia on March 8, 1917. That it was widely celebrated every year by communist countries exclusively until the United Nations adopted it in 1975.
This was not a day to celebrate the wonderful contributions of the fairer sex to society (of which there are many). Quite the contrary.
It was a day to encourage behavior that would destroy the traditional family, drive a divisive wedge between husband and wife, cause women to feel unfulfilled, and lead to the type of chaos necessary to enslave a population and dehumanize both sexes.

I must laugh, I had no time to check the board this morning. I woke late and had to rush to make a doctor appointment. Once I had checked in and was sitting in the waiting area an older gentlemen walked in. He checked in at the counter and then turned to the waiting area and wished all of us ladies a Happy Ladies Day. Talk about a smooth operator, us older ladies just giggled as I think we had no idea what he was talking about.

There's another post..but few care🤔

Thanks, anyway
My apologies Jace, I’ve asked Matrix to combine the two, and I’ll try not to make the same mistake again, hope that solves your problem x

Cant comment on the rest (due to likely violation of forum rules), but can I get away with a maybe sexist joke here?

"Happy ladies day to each and every one, its just a shame I cant love you all"! :) 🥰

I inadvertently started one as did mrstime, those two have been merged charry and, I assume, are rumbling around in the archives of the site.....
ohhh thanks wren ...... I only saw your thread ...

Nothing to apologise for GAlady, if it wasn’t for some ‘self appointed moderator’ sticking her nose in, Matrix would have just merged our two threads and none of this nonsense would have occurred

Please, lets just drop it now, move on and continue enjoying Senior Forums 😊
