Is Anyone Attending Church Services Now?

I saw over the weekend some churches are not discouraging people from attending. One pastor even said as his church was full "we are putting it in the hands of God."

No, I'm not. I can't take a chance because of my wife. However, TV is available, and I still watch my favorite pastors. (I disagree with the pastor - I think God is putting my wife's health in my hands)

Catholic masses (which are offered daily except Good Friday) are cancelled, but churches remain open if anyone wants to go in to pray. People must keep that social distance however.

Received email from my church that services are cancelled for the next 2 weeks. They are being streamed online though. When I do not feel like attending I watch it online anyway. All events, potluck suppers, etc are cancelled until further notice.

On the bright side of this very serious virus, think how much money we all will be saving by staying home for a couple months.

I went to wallymart today and spent $157. AND I didn't buy any toilet paper. It's a darn good thing I didn't need any because there sure as hell wasn't any. Since we've been out of town for a while and just got back, we needed a lot of stuff, so I bought a lot of stuff. I stocked up on the basics just in case...….. We may go bankrupt, but we won't starve to death.

The Spousal Equivalent has a cold. It's just a cold, thank goodness, but you'd think it's coronavirus the way he acts. It's a "Man Cold", which all women understand is much, much worse than a "Woman Cold". Much.

It's always "in the hands of God", but God gives us freedom of choice and rational minds for a reason. He wants us to make wise decisions, only asking that we understand what wisdom actually is.

Our small rural church held its regular Sunday morning worship service this past week, but all other social functions are temporarily suspended.

My pastor announced on March 15th that we would continue to hold services until someone in authority told him not to. I guess he got told, because two days later he sent an email saying all church services and activities were on hold until further notice. He did make a YouTube video of his sermon and emailed a link to the parishoners that have Internet access. Prayer requests are also being sent by email.

The church I attend has stopped holding any services or other gatherings until further notice. I think it would be foolish and irresponsible to do otherwise.

As Tommy wisely said above -- of course it's always in the hands of God, but that doesn't mean we should jump in front of oncoming trains or drive around without seat belts.

My church closed 3 weeks ago as did many other local worship places
We can now watch our Sun service on line which feels strange
Our staff has called or emailed members asking how they are doing,if they need anything. Its a good way to keep 'church family' together until we can return
