Is deceit a common algorithm of this day and age!

Have you ever felt deceived in your life by a friend, relative, colleague, loved one but most of all on the internet.

Back in the day when the internet was not so popular or non existent, life was much more simplistic, mundane.

Do you ever miss those good old days or has technology taken over our lives.

Advancement for the betterment of humanity but has it come with a price?

I have been deceived in my life by friends, relatives, colleagues and loved ones. I think at some point probably all of us have. Though the experience(s) sadden me, I focus on the fact that the deception was a choice they made and has no bearing whatsoever on me. Of course, deception erodes trust, so it has taken time in some instances to restore certain relationships; others have not been restored because the individual doesn't accept responsibility for their action(s) or acknowledge the damage done.

Can't say I've ever felt deceived on the internet. Unless you mean things like 'fake news'. A lot of that about!

Don't miss anything about the 'old days' good or bad, as I try to live in the now. I believe it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said "yesterday is past, tomorrow is the future but today is a gift...that's why its called the present." Very wise words.

I do believe some technology has taken over our lives - people seem more keen to watch TV or play computer games or text or talk on their phones than actually converse with people. Some technology has certainly benefitted humanity, in the fields of medicine and science and so on. But yes, some of it has come with a price...job losses being one.

Yes I have been deceived by all that you mentioned except for on the internet. I am much more cautious about internet interactions. My last husband was a serial cheater and liar.
