Thanks @hollydolly . Have seen that chart before and it is indeed rather accurate. Of note head cold rhinovirus cold fevers tend to be below about 100.5F and last just a day or two at most. My Omicron COVID fever last October lasted about 3 or 4 days and reached 101F twice. Influenza fevers are sometimes much higher, especially as it initially develops with delirium. Despite having a strong nasal infection for a full 2 weeks and not using medicines, I never developed a tickle cough nor sore throat only because of how I mechanically prevented post nasal drip by carefully gravity positioning my head and neck..
At the beginning of Covid in February 2020 my wife and me had a severe cold for a week. A working colleague of mine visited a fair with many Chinese exhibitors and got sick some days before us. It is possible that she got Covid and transmitted it to me and I to my wife. We didn't get tested since there was no test at that time. But later we never got sick and are unvaccinated from the beginning.
