I can't remember people being this angry when I was younger. Sometimes it feels like people all over the place are in some kind of 'road rage' , but it's not just on the road. People have always had opinions, but it seems these days people are so quick to be completely enraged over differing opinions. It's like people are just looking for something and someone to hate. Perhaps I'm overly sensitive to negativity. I just don't remember people being so aggressive, pushy, and rude when I was younger. Is it just me? ( oh I'm not talking about this website..better clarify that )

oops i just noticed the discussions in this section are supposed to be ' light hearted' . I would delete this and post it some place else...but I don't see a delete button

I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels that way. Thanks Selena. It is kind of scary to think how these same angry people would behave in catastrophic situations.

I read that one of the drugs they give the animals that are raised for food is causing rage in the animals. They are much mor apt to attack the people who feed them or other animals they are penned up with. They are also having heart attacks and dying from this drug; and the veterinarians say it is the largest cause of food-animals' deaths now.
The drug is in the animals when they are butchered; so when people eat the meat, we also get the drug. They tested the drug on humans, and had to take one lasy out of the test because it gave her an abnormal heart beat when she took the drug.

This drug is given to pigs, cattle, and turkeys; so it is most of the meat that people eat if they buy it from the grocery store.
I think that this is part of what is causing the change in people, and also increasing heart problems.

I think today, people have a lot more stress in their lives than 30 or so years ago. I remember my life in my 20s/30s...things were sooo laid back, life just ambled along. Now people rush too and fro like headless chickens and anyone who gets in their way, gets annoyed at. I can't see it ever getting better.

It's because the world is just too crowded with people who gather in the same place.

When lemmings discover this happening, they simply jump over a cliff en masse.

I agree that everyone is more angry nowadays. I think it's partly because they are so frustrated with what's going on around them and they feel lost and out of control. Besides the drugs and other things that Happyflowerlady mentioned, I know just our tap water is filled with garbage like that, and I believe they are spraying chemicals from planes (chemtrails) to control the weather, and the aluminum and other things are affecting our plants, crops, oceans and people.

I also think that many people are immersing themselves in negative things, that stay with them even after the act is over, like violent video games, social media that throws the success of others in their faces, to the point they feel jealous and like failures. Some TV shows on cable are very negative, and glorify hate, violence and negative behavior, just like most rap and hiphop. People are trying to define their worth with the almighty dollar, as opposed to character, etc.

A lot more stresses brought on by technology. I think all the electrical waves running through the air around us definitely have a bad effect on our health and mental well-being. Many younger people have very little socialization with others, and lack empathy because of it.

What's the name of the drug?

Oh yes, I agree with you. My theory is that moods are directly related to the state of the economy. When the country is going through economic crisis, then everyone is turning around looking to place blame or nitpick. Just like when you are at work and people start hearing rumors about layoffs, people start to backstab each other and get angry about everything.

It's not just you----There are a lot of unhappy people out there. Unhappy with their marriage, finances, job,no job, kids, politics, health.and they are having a hard time dealing with it.
