Anyone, anywhere, alerting you to something on your computer and then offering a solution via a link, is very likely a scammer. And there is a telephone version of this that asks you to give log in information to correct some supposed problem.

This forum is extremely safe and spammer/scammers are dealt with rapidly. There won't be a forum anywhere on the 'Net that these kinds of pests don't get in... some forums don't bother getting rid of them, though... that's the difference.
