Is Sharing What I Think is Beautiful, a Form of Gloating?

There’s a lot of negativity in our society lately so I’ve been diving a bit deeper into my inner world. Lately I’m trying to share the best I perceive as beautiful. I’m doing that via photography, music - singing/ instrumental, trying to be kind but honest in my communication. Does sharing like this come across as gloating or boasting? Annoyingly narcissistic?🤷‍♀️

If it is, do you think it’s change worthy or. just accept it as part of my character?

I admire you for what you are doing, it's very positive. Not at all boasting, gloating, annoying or narcissistic. We all would be better off if people did that, and a character like that is one to be proud of. Looking at beautiful photos, listening to music, dancing, singing, etc. really lifts the spirit, even if just done around the home.

The negativity in our society is very concerning. I just try to remember that if it bleeds it leads, and there are still a lot of good people out there who are kind and compassionate. We don't hear about it much, but many of us experience it in our everyday lives.

Always look to see if what you're doing brings harm on others. If it doesn't, it's probably okay. :)

Being happy has been out of fashion for a while now. Drama sells. Sad really. :(

Patty, sharing is caring. Never let anyone diminish your joy. I have felt that way at times. Art is what it is. Everybody's a critic, but can they write, compose, paint or sculpt? I'm sure you are among friends here!

Yes indeed. I shall share my god given light with all. Artists are creative and actually need to work with their hands or they can go insane. Look what happened to Van Gogh

Somethings I’ve shared wasn’t caring and if I’ve got a choice to share beautiful things and get criticized, I’m ok with that. I KNOW I am surround by love ❤️ when I’m in the ZONE.
Thanks for reminding me.

I don't think sharing that kind of information and feelings is gloating or bragging at all. Nor is it annoying. But I understand why you would ask. I'm concerned about the same thing and often second guess myself as to whether I should post something or not. I so admire your talent and your commitment to practicing your craft(s). I wish I could say the same for myself because I don't practice nearly enough: I don't spend time doing my artwork either. And it's not like I don't have the time. :sneaky:

It does my heart good that you (or any of our members) find and post about things that fulfill and give joy. Keep it up and keep us updated.

Thank you guys.
