Israel War: Live Video

In the coming months there will be a flood of videos like this one. Some well done. Some poorly done.

Since the Hamas invasion I've seen at least four on my YouTube feed each day. I am approaching my limit already on the subject. My interpretation of the event and its causes is simply that it is a proxy war between Iran and Israel. Those are the two real combatants. But, everyone is ignoring that show while they daily nash their teeth, ring their hands, point their fingers, and loudly justify their positions.

Lots of dust up while avoiding the REAL show. Wake me when it's over. It will ONLY be over when everyone's revenge show has played to the end. And, that will be a very, very long time from now. Time to find something else to focus on. The political middle east will simply be a big killing ground for a very long time.

Thank you for these, @FastTrax ... I've been watching some live cams, but have a question. Is there a way to tell if they're *really* live? I always assumed if the red dot was on, it was live... but now I'm seeing more than a few that are indicating "live" with the dot, but obviously not live because they're 7 hours ahead of me... example, right now. I just saw a cam that indicated it was live, but it was bright daylight and it's 10 p.m. there. How do I tell?

Good eyes CallMeKate. When a video is being recorded in the Western Hemisphere during the day and you are viewing it in the Eastern Hemishere during the day it's not in real time, unless it's in "Twilight Time".LOL. At the time cameras are actually recording an event is considered "live" however Youtube subscribers to a specific Youtube channel receives alerts when a particular video is uploaded and can actually view these videos as they are occuring. If you look at the bottom of the video you will see the timestamp when it was uploaded. I hope this helped.

One obvious way to know if a broadcast is "Live " is if the reporter in Israel is talking with an anchor desk person in North America, and they are talking back and forth as if both of them were in the same room. Thats live. Asking questions, and getting answers from the reporter in Israel, in real time. JimB.

A fair number of multi hour live videos posted on Toutube and other video platforms are not remote news video feeds via satcom to commercial news desk but from stationary cameras fed to independant providers including news outlets. Most are hot miked and some are just equipped for video feeds only.
