It doesn't take much to knock you off your feet.

A mere six weeks ago, I was independent, driving, taking care of all aspects of my life. I don't even know what happened I woke up on the floor. And like in the lousy TV ad, " I couldn't get up". Now, I drive a wheel chair, and get meals on wheels. I'm 71, and it doesn't take much to knock you off your feet. You never think it'll happen to you.

Oh My Lord...what happened Fuzzy?... 6 weeks is a very short time to end up in a wheelchair and receiving meals on wheels so it must have been something serious,..I'm so sorry you're poorly, what's the prognosis

Wow - -that's a real bummer. It does go to show how quickly the tides can shift for older folks. Hopefully you'll get back on your feet before too long. Do the docs talk about therapy to get you mobile again?

Best of luck, my friend.

FB , Glad to hear that you are right side up and back with us at SF!!!

Now that you have a toe in the system I hope that you will consider moving to a senior living facility where you will have some people to socialize with and give you a hand when needed.

Damn....hate hearing that.... Here's hoping for vast improvement !!

Sorry to hear about your illness. Fuzzy. Yes, life is fragile and anything can happen to anyone at any time to change it. I see it all the time. I hope you can become more independent again soon.

Very sorry to hear that Fuzzy, glad you're doing a little bit better. I know it was somewhat of a struggle for you in your house in the past, I agree with Aunt Bea and hope that it's possible for you to relocate in the future to a senior community where you'll have folks around to help out and lighten your load a bit. Take care, hope you're able to get everything you need at home for now.

Sorry to hear what happened but it's good to see you here in the forums again. I hope someone gives you an answer soon.

Hope you're feeling better, soon, and back up and about. You should go in for extensive testing to figure out exactly what happened and why it happened the way it did.

I can relate Fuzzy---With me it was a mild stroke. Surely you have had a medical opinion as to what happened. At any rate. Get well and heal fast.

Fuzzy, adding my wishes for a recovery. Awful to wait and not know exactly what happened and what steps are next. Hang in there.

Ahhhhhj Fuzzy!! Wow- what a shocking happening!! Hopefully the dust has settled, you’re feeling better, answered and treatment have begun so you can resume some normality in your life again... take good care of yourself!
