Well according to the internet I was not who I thought I was all of my life.

I'm not a baby boomer, I'm Generation Jones? What a load of bullcrap. Made up by Generation X or Z I'm sure.

I couldn't find it anywhere online, but as I recall the Boomer generation was already extended to 1964 when originally ending about 1961.

I know who I am and I'm damn glad I was born an original boomer(y)

:ROFLMAO:

There is a lot about Jen Jones on Reddit.

The whole idea that some arbitrary cut off date puts you in one or the other is kind of funny to me.

I was born in July 1963 but I relate to Gen X a lot more than I relate to being a boomer. I also fit into the Gen Jones thing.

If you use other social media platforms, you'll notice Boomers are being blamed for everything that is wrong with the world today.

It's all made up! ☺️

Jones?! Okay, now I have to go look that up! '54 to '65 so yeah, apparently I'm a Joneser, too... but nope, I'm gonna dig my heels in 'cause I kind of like being a Boomer. The Jones thing was started in 1999, I see... mustn't have had much traction since we're not hearing about it until 26 years later. :ROFLMAO: And furthermore :giggle: I've never been able to figure out why any of that matters!

Generational categorizations are used by advertising firms to better identify who theirvtarget market is for the products they advertise.

Marketing and advertising is aimed at the various groups.

So what target market would you like to be a part of? Its not like you can choose. Its been determined ahead of time.

Some products appeal to Boomers some to Gen X,Y, or Z.

But some products or services or stores might have a larger market appeal that crosses generational boundaries.

I think there's a big divide between people who experienced the Great Depression, either first hand or through parents who did, and those who grew up knowing more prosperity.

There's a big difference in work ethic it seems.
