As a young person - up to age 14? my hands would always have a couple of warts.
Grandmother said it was because I was always in the creeks capturing frogs.

A little research show the Human papillomavirus was the culprit.
Usually caught via skin to skin contact.

We had this little creek bed out back that had these little tiny frogs. I would catch them and kiss them according to mom. I brought one home one day and she snapped a pic but we were the only ones that knew I was holding a frog. I've always liked frogs. LOL!

Never had a wart in my life.
