It was day, it was night, it was day!

First total eclipse I have seen and it was pretty cool! The sun was only covered for what seemed like 2 minutes. As it started I could feel the cool temperature of what is normally evening, that was wonderful. Watched as the sun streamed through my trees, the shadows once tiny seemed to grow before my eyes.

Would I have spent money to travel to see it. No, I would not but since it was in my own backyard I am glad to the experience.

Watched the sky change color and the birds gathering to roost. No total eclipse but the cat and I enjoyed it anyway.

You were lucky. It was sunny for the first half and then the clouds rolled in... Got quick glimpses as the clouds would pass, but certainly not optimal viewing.

I wouldn't travel either but if it were in my area, which it will not be in my lifetime, I'd be very excited. Glad for those that got to experience it.
