Italy to scrap mandates in May.

Freedom equated with masks is a question I'd like to hear Zelensky address, when he has time that is.

My son and his wife got came back from a 2 week vacation in Italy about a week ago. Very few people wore masks while they were there. They didn't either, except on the planes. My son's wife, Tina, complained that having to wear a mask while trying to sleep during the longest flight was extremely uncomfortable.

True. And I get why the mask has become a symbol of the fight for freedom, but I agree it's a totally lame and unnecessarily divisive one. It confuses the issue, trivializes it, bogs it down with controversy and color-coded labels...more a diversion than an icon to rally lovers of democracy and every individual's right to autonomy.
