It's Eat Brussel Sprouts Day !

Although mama would darn near rather eat a bug than eat brussel sprouts I really like them and she'll fix them for me whenever I want them which is normally once a week or so.....she very lightly dusts them with some sort of seasoning salt and then steams them for just a little bit.

Any other brussel sprouts fans here ?

I love them! Prefer them roasted but will eat them whatever cooking method.

I also like the shaved Brussel sprouts some stores sell....will sauté those with some seasoning. YUM

Love em. We try to have them twice a week. Don’t like the tough chewy ones though.

A little off topic but I’m so excited I had to post in somewhere....yesterday I learned we are getting an Aldi in Fresno/Clovis.

Our closest one was in Bakersfield.

We've got a Aldi not far from the house but very rarely shop there.....everyone is different but to us they mostly carry their / off the wall brand names which we've tried a time or two and don't really care for.

I've seen some mention Costco favorably here but the closest one to us is in Tulsa which is over 120 miles away......based on what I've seen here I'd like to see a Costco come to town.

Slice them and cook with bacon.
Or steam them and serve with butter.
Frozen ones are almost as good as fresh ones.

I love brussels sprouts. I either steam them and add butter or saute with bacon...yummy!

We have Aldis and Costcos in the Houston area. I enjoy Aldi but we let our Costco (and Sam's Club) memberships expire. Since it's just the two of us now we don't use club memberships and gigantic containers of stuff anymore, so it's not worth the annual dues to us. I can still order from Costco online and pay the 5% upcharge if there's something I really want from them. (Or occasionally I go with my friend and use her membership card. )

I love them anyway they can be prepared. The hubby hates them so I usually end up buying the steam in the bag type.
