It's either Coke or Pepsi, if it's neither what do you drink?

when I was younger always drank Pepsi, never liked the taste of Coke
I gave soda up years ago, now I drink water, 2% milk

Years ago, I can't remember if it was Coke or Pepsi had an ad where people tasted "unknown colas" to see which was best. At the local grocery store, they had one. When I tasted them, I knew which one was Coke and the other Pepsi. The salesperson said, "Yes, but which one tasted better?" To me, they both tasted good, and each had a unique taste. At that time I was a Coke person, then they came out with the "new Coke", which sucked, so I've gone over to the dark side and become a Pepsi guy.

The Pepsi challenge is a long running thing where Pepsi does blind tasting, compared to Coke. Pepsi usually wins, the trick is that when doing testing like that many people will choose the less familiar taste. Since Coke outsells Pepsi Coke usually loses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepsi_Challenge
what do you drink?
Tullamore DEW, when I can.

Get the Mexican coke made with real cane sugar. I agree with you the "new Coke" was terrible. When it didn't sell, they said they went back to the "original" formula, but they used high fructose corn syrup ☹️ instead of the original cane sugar.

Wish I could find the Mountain Dew made with cane sugar (called Throwback Mtn. Dew when it first came out), but it's hard. I am finding Frostie Orange Frostie Root Beer & Cheerwine made with cane sugar.

Drank occasional caffeinated cola drinks growing up. That and other sweet soft drinks helped rot out teeth for a whole generation. As young adult would hang out more at coffee shops versus alcohol bars. After at age 20 suffering a rare type of aneurysm, have totally stayed away from any caffeine much less common cardiovascular system affecting rec drugs.
Me too. I used to drink such fizzy drinks and had headaches. All gone once I switched to pure water.

I'm Scottish so of course this was very much a part of my childhood.. everyone liked it.. but not me so much... far too sweet...
Irn Bru tastes exactly the same as Orange-Banana jelly I'd experience in my work travels.

Try making jelly out of your Irn Bru, an absolutely delightful dessert during the hot summer months. 👍
