The weather gal just that a strong front is moving in and by noon we'll have 70 to 75 mph winds.

Geez 70 to 75 mph winds ?.......I'll have to thumbtack my hat on.

That is a category one hurricane here! Better batten down the hatches! We are having an extended Indian Summer here with temps around seventy and gentle breezes...

It's mild here as well. Drizzly and nearly 60.

We've had gusts here before of 165mph and sustained winds of 89-90. But we don't call it a hurricane.

The weather gal just came back on and said that a "lake wind advisory" had been issued for central Okla. (well duh !) and that she had just spoken to the Hwy. Dept. and they told her that 70 to 75 mph is strong enough to blow tractor and trailers over........I may have to use super glue and thumbtacks eh ?

Or just stay in the house!

I love to watch the winter rain storms here from inside the house. It gets really windy and whips up the water in the loch, sometimes splashing up onto the road.
