Got laid off a pretty good job
Took two, full time jobs to keep the budget (mortgage.....things like that)
Then took a part time one to boot
Yeah, 100 to 120 hrs a week
Seven days a week
This cigarette machine called me
The pack of camel straights never looked so good
I could taste that Turkish blend....

Jammed in my money before I thought better

Man, had to sit down
Got dizzy from sucking that first one down so fast

I told myself, just while I'm spending my waking hrs working I can do something I enjoy
That was over thirty years ago

Hell, It's time
I'm retired for gawdsake

I hear ya, Buddy... The longest I ever quit was two years... Was out having some drinks with Buddies... Someone offered me one after several hours of drinking, shooting the bull... took the smoke without even thinking about it... and right back on them after that... One of my sisters only smokes when she drinks... I wish I had that will power... The problem is I love smoking, it just doesn't agree with me... But you let me know when YOU are ready Gary, and we'll do it together...

Yeah, I enjoy it too
But...thinking about it......sucking smoke into my lungs, kinda turns me off

My lady has never given me any crap about it, has never complained, but is hugely supportive on my thoughts of knocking it off

Gimme 3-4 days to suck down my inventory

Right now, I'm headed to the porch to watch the sun rise, sip steaming hot black java, and 'have one'
