I see things haven't changed much over there. When I was in Germany, back in the 1960's, it wasn't unusual to see some drunk...and there were plenty of them...taking a whiz just a few steps from a pedestrian area. Any little "nook" or alleyway was considered "private" enough.

In San Francisco back a few years ago I was walking along and suddenly there was a zig zag pattern of a wet substance on the side walk, I looked ahead and a man was whizzing as he walked making the pattern.
