I found out a couple of weeks ago that IHOP has a new program (gimmick one might call it). I thought it was cute and since I was planning to take my honorary daughter for breakfast, I signed up for it. I do go there from time to time, so it will be good to have some "coins" saved up. In fact, I'll probably place an order today for lunch. Their turkey sandwich with dressing and cranberries looks intriguing. If it's anything like the ones we used to get at a cafe in the Showboat, Atlantic City, it will be delicious. This will only be the second time over the decades that I've gone and not ordered pancakes.

Notice it says "As a member of our bank you always get returns on your ingestments". :ROFLMAO: Do you belong to any restaurant rewards programs?

The pandemic pretty much ended my use of restaurants. I think it's been over 18 months now and I was only there because my son and his wife wanted to stop in one.

We still probably have an IHOP open but I don't go there. It had already fallen pretty far by 2010. Dirtier, far noisier, and quality had gone down. I'd hate to see their prices today. It's in a college town, but the crime rate there just keeps on rising.

That's too bad D! I like our local IHOP for several reasons.
~The staff is very courteous and attentive.
~I know they do not cook the eggs and turkey or beef sausage on the same grill as the bacon and pork sausage (you'd be surprised how many still do that, so I can't eat their food).
~The atmosphere in there is nice; it's always clean.
~Even with the rise in prices, they are not that bad.
~Its easily accessible from where I live.
~If we go on a week day, the place is damned near empty.
~And last but not least, the food is really good.

I need to look around. Maybe we have a nicer one just a little drive further. It sounds like yours is very nice.
Yeah, look around. There are about 3 or 4, all on the highway, within a fairly easy drive from where we live. One is small, so tends to be cramped. We stopped going to that one.

I had a complaint about the turkey sandwich I had so looked forward to eating. There was sliced turkey, cheese, dressing and was supposed to have whole cranberry sauce on it. Well it had very little. I've had those sandwiches before and the cranberries are a very important part of what makes them so good. I couldn't get back there that day so I called to let the manager know. She offered to give me something else, then she thought to look for the cranberry sauce. I was going to have my son run in a pick it up.

She said she couldn't find any. But after he left, another worker called me back and told me she found it ! I said I'd be find with going the next day to pick that up, since I still had half a sandwich left. When I picked it up, they gave me not one, not two but 4 little containers of cranberry sauce. šŸ˜›
