Jimy Buffett has died Margaritaville

When I saw it on the news they showed a clip of him performing, I was hoping it was to announce a new concert tour but then the anchor said he had passed. I was like NO! Just No! I wasn't really aware of him until I saw him on a talk show many years ago. He had on his signature bandana and flashed those cute dimples. During the interview, which was a fun to watch, he talked about his upcoming projects, of course and spoke of his best friend, newsman Ed Bradley. I wound up thinking...what a charming man!

Sometime after seeing him on T.V., my BFF and I drove from the west coast of Florida down to Key West. I was looking to see if I could see Jimmy Buffetts place down there, but found out later we had passed it and I missed it. I just saw him in an episode of Blue Bloods last week. May he rest in musical paradise.

Jimmy Buffet died of Merkel Cell Carcinoma that turned into Lymphoma....skin cancer. Everyone loved Jimmy Buffet. He made a lot of people smile and forget their worries...a wonderful legacy of peace love and joy
I smiled while skipping through this 60 minutes documentary which had to be released at least 3 years ago (according to comments). He was a humble man who spoke in a gentle manner. I absolutely love humble, talented people. It was interesting to see how Margaritaville came to be. That smile!

Living in Texas .... we go more for Country Music down here.
Right you are! When we used to travel down to Port Isabel for the winter, I always enjoyed listening to Willy Nelson's Sirius station. He always played those great singers like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn; just to name a few. Those new city slickers with the torn jeans and under wear shirts, pretending they are country, just don't cut it for me! Phony is phony no matter what the music!
