karak, Jordan (CNN)Two days after news emerged that ISIS had burned a captive Jordanian pilot to death, the Middle Eastern nation hit back.

Fighter jets carried out airstrikes Thursday, then returned to fly over the home of the slain 27-year-old pilot, Lt. Moath al-Kasasbeh, in the village of Ay in Karak governorate.
"This is just the beginning and you shall know who the Jordanians are," the armed forces said in a statement on state TV.

....and I hope other Arab countries do all they can to help Jordan. Finally it seems someone over there is stepping up to the plate.

Per the Washington Times King Abdullah's photo is going viral..

According to the article referred to in the first post. "Jordan is one of a handful of Middle Eastern nations taking part in the U.S.-led military coalition against ISIS."

Seems like we are already involved as well as other Mid Eastern countries.

It was tragic but what was what it took to get one of our Muslim allies to go "balls to the wall" against ISIS...

QS I absolutely agree ..this IS a problem for the world, and every country should band together to eradicate the poisonous little cockroaches that have arisen from the filth of the earth and named themselves ISIS

I believe that should Jordan put "boots on the ground" that we will follow... By "We" I mean all of us.. not just the US.. I was listening to some "military expert" yesterday being interviewed.. I forget who he was. He estimates it would probably take 100,000 troops to eradicate them. That's a lot of people we would be putting in harms way. We seem to have lost our taste for losing our people. It would be a very hard decision to do that indeed... Will just airstrikes work?

Another commentator said.. ISIS screwed with the wrong country. These are basically tribal people who operate under the same rage vendetta that ISIS does.. AND they have a first class Military... MORE importantly, they have a very VERY dependable intelligence network in the region. Perhaps with their intelligence operating on the ground.. air strikes will be more effective?

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — The United Arab Emirates said Saturday it ordered a squadron of F-16 fighters to Jordan, which an official said would participate in airstrikes on the Islamic State group after the UAE earlier suspended its involvement.

I believe that all those folks in the Cuba located US prison were considered as co conspirators for the destruction of the New York towers and about 3,000 mixed nations people doing so. I see nothing wrong with our holding them and keeping them from starting more deaths. Had it not been for some meddling by the weak ones of the US, they might have been tried long ago and in jail for reasons, not just charges. I am sure they are all friends of one another, but certainly not friends of the US and other parts of the world at all.
