Hey...

Been wondering about this for a while now... With all the madness going on in the world... and the Prime Minister of Canada trying to sell us out, and become a dictatorship country... And this has been going on since the 70s... And yes I know it is a lot deeper than what I am writing... But the world has gone nuts...

But what is hurting Canada and the USA is Global trading, among many other things. But that is when the world went funny...

Now it this is something no one wants to talk about, or this is not the right place to bring this up, then please, close the topic down or delete it, my feelings are not going to be hurt...

But as I said above, I've been thinking about this for quite some time now, and that is it Canada & USA became one country... We would not need Global Trading anymore, we would have everything we needed to support ourselves. Now I am not going to get into all the technical wording on this. I am just throwing it out there for a conversation... Has anyone else put any thought into this? Just curious...

But I would take your country's leadership any day Mike, over what we are dealing with in the US.

And I say that because what we are now importing, we used to export...
Nothing like going backwards ... and we are all feeling it daily now.

I guess you didn't notice BUT the Liberals have been RE-ELECTED for the last three ELECTIONS. Just because you personally don't like the Prime Minister does not allow you to lie about things in Canada. Ever hear of a thing called a "Vote of nonconfidence " Mike ? That is what happens when the majority of the 340 Members in the House vote to toss out the current Government, which triggers a national ELECTION. I have capitalized the word ELECTION to make it clear that Canada is not, not ever will be a "Dictatorship ". You are entitled to your opinion, however wrong it may be. JimB.

Yes there are trade agreements between the 2 countries, but the OP wants to actually MERGE the two nations into one. His ideas are the exact opposite to those of the majority of Canadians, Here is why. In each episode of trade arguments, the USA refuses to abide by the decisions made by the International arbitration board. Time and again, we Canadians are vilified and insulted by US Government officials. Just one example was the US Federal Government calling Canada a "security threat " over the price of our steel exports to the USA. I suggest that most Canadian voters have NO interest in a political merger with the USA. JImB.
