---Tried to access Apple iphone to update a credit card expiration date but couldn't access the window to change it.
---Googled on where to find it on Apple iphone. Unknowingly hooked up to JustAnswer, wherein they stated, someone could help me for a charge of $5. They did in fact help me.
---Credit card statement stated a charge of $5 and a separate fee of $46 now realizing i signed up for a monthly membership. No documentation or disclosure that this was their policy.
---Credit card company is disputing the charge. Numerous attempts to cancel a membership i didn't sign up for.
---Have a text message and an email that i have cancelled membership but I don't think this is the end of it. I may have to cancel my credit card because this scammer now has my credit card number.

Now the company is sending me ways to avoid scams in the future. Imagine that: A scammer telling me how to avoid scams.

Oh, by all means cancel the card immediately! There's no telling what other "businesses" these &*^$#(@'s operate, who now have your card number.

Don't you just love the message from the CC to 1st contact the other person/company to resolve your issue and
the person or company can't be reached or else will not reply. This happened to me once. Luckily I had not deleted my mails
to them and sent copies to my CC and that insured me a refund. I have been so careful now about this stuff.

I did something similar. Last week I asked AI a question too big for it, they recommended Just Answer.

Said it would cost $5.00. When I checked my acct, there was an additional charge of $40.00 membership.

I wanna go back to the 70s.

I canceled the card this morning. I
saved all correspondence which I have to submit to fraud dept for dispute claim.

correspondence does not discuss billing practice anywhere. No fine print.

Received yet another text from the scam peeps that I have in fact cancelled my membership. I made note of repeat message.

Got an anonymous text (which i didn’t open) from some other scammer about some other scam. Report block delete.

I am so so careful; almost paranoid that this would never happen to me. Yah about that.
