Funny, NOWHERE does it say that Humpty Dumpty was an egg. Wonder where THAT came from?! :confused:
Believe it or not Falcon, a few months ago I read an article on that. Humpty was not an egg and then something or another was written and they called him an egg. I'm sorry I can't remember what it was. If I had time I'd do a google search and see if I could find it again but I can't right now.

From 1996 the website of the Colchester tourist board attributed the origin of the rhyme to a cannon recorded as used from the church of St Mary-at-the-Wall by the Royalist defenders in the siege of 1648
