Just Got The Estimate For Two Dental Implants

Sure. The dentist ground my front teeth to "nubs". There was a lot of grinding. They were like pegs and it felt creepy to feel them with my tongue. He then put temporary implants over the nubs. If I remember correctly, it took 3 weeks for the permanent implants to come in. They look great and are more stain resistant than my real teeth. I am looking at having the bottom 6 replaced at some point in time.

Now that I think of it, I didn't have dental implants, I had porcelain veneers. Is that an option for you?

My mother had dental implants, rather than porcelain veneers, on all her bottom teeth and it cost $36,000. Maybe that will be more helpful than me with my porcelain veneers.

I have quotes for about 2000. per implant in front, after my dental discount plan. Plus the extractions (1500) and crowns. Yours sounds higher, but we don't know where you live or your condition. I got 2 estimates, very alike.

I had 9 teeth pulled plus 3 implants in lower gum. I think the total cost was under $5000.00. I waited 6 months for mouth to heal, implants were cleaned up and caps were placed atop of each implant. After that i saw my dentist who finished the job.

I'm a little confused. I just want to make sure we're all talking about the same things. I think there are implants that go all the way in and you cap them and the caps don't come off. Then there are other implants that are not invasive and you can put like dentures over them that you take off at night. Are those the porcelain veneers? Am I right?
