Planning to continue working nntil I turn 66 (I'm 64 now), Would like to work longer, but feel compelled to retire at 66 because of my health. My wife passed away 11 years ago, so it's just me. I worked at the same place for over 34 years now. When I retire, I hope that the combination of my social security, 401K, along with my savings will help me in my retirement.
Paid off my mortgage, and have no other big payments. Hoping that I can get some answers here to basic questions about Medicare, Supplemental Insurance.
I know I'll have to apply for Medicare (A) when I turn 65 (or a couple months before). Still considering dropping health coverage thru my employer and signing up for Medicare B and D as well when I turn 65. (My employer's health coverage is not good).
