Just Witnessed Something Very Funny

I should send this to Reader's Digest. I pulled in to my parking spot and got out and saw a neighbor lady standing by her car with a framed mirror 2' X 4' leaning against the side of the car. She just stood there and I became curious. Then she started explaining to her husband as he came out the door asking "What are you waiting for?" She raised one arm up above her head and her other hand low to her knees and replied, "It's too long to carry." The husband approached her with a mile on his face, rotated the mirror 90 degrees and cradled it under his arm and walked away. Just goes to show we we all have our moments.

Yep, we do all have our moments: I needed to replace the hose on my kitchen sink faucet. Trouble was, the fitting that attached to the cold feed tee was a little too wide to fit through the faucet head piping, from the sink. The coupling that screwed onto the sprayer was fine, as it was made to sit in the faucet pipe. I went to the hardware store and took about an hour trying to come up with alternate fittings. Then, I had my moment of enlightenment: I shelved the fittings I had amassed, came home, ran the hose from under the sink to the spray head. Problem solved!

A few days ago I had my car in to the garage for it's annual inspection. When I tried to back out of the service bay, I couldn't get the shifter to go into reverse. Dang! Then the mechanic suggested that it might work better if I were to start the car first.
