Keeping ACA Plan After Losing Job

Still working. Plan to early retire next year at 65 and will be getting on Medicare.
I currently have an individual plan from the marketplace but I am pretty sure I will be losing my job at the end of the year. A competitor has bought us out I believe and they are only buying the customer base.
Im wondering if it is possible to just keep paying my monthly payments for the marketplace insurance even if I do not find another job.
I could afford to not work until retirement but I think paying for the marketplace insurance would be cheaper than anything else out there.
Just wondering if anyone would have any input or guidance on that.
I may find some work in the meantime. Im just not sure especially with winter being upon us. I just hate to drop the marketplace insurance and have to go thru some mess of making changes to my plan.
Thanks, any replies would be appreciated.

Sure it's possible to keep your private health insurance, and in fact, is the easiest, simplest, safest thing do do until you're covered by Medicare in a few months.

Pretty sure you can keep it, and you might get a cheaper premium due to loss of income. The rules are there on the ACA website, cant remember the name of the website. Healthcare.gov ? You have to have a * minimum * monthly income, which MAY be a problem, which you should check out first. Or there may be exceptions, due to job loss. It's lots of reading, but just read it, lol.

I would encourage you to check with the exchange so you don’t have any surprises.

I live in New York State and purchased an individual policy under the Affordable Care Act that I paid for until I qualified for Medicare.
