Seventeen year old Chloe was home alone when the flood started to cover her parent's house. She wanted to swim to a shed roof with her little dog Sandy, but a quick test showed her Sandy couldn't swim in the cold fast water.
So Chloe waded through waist deep water in the house until she found a plastic box to put Sandy in and a cushion to set it on. Then they set out and Chloe swam the distance while pushing the box ahead of her.
The two waited on top of the narrow roof for hours until rescue came.
