KFC Is Making Vegetarian "Fried Chicken"

I would give it a try.

I like the old original recipe once or twice a year and then I'm satisfied.

I would like to see them offer a supermarket frozen meal or box of frozen chicken for those few times a year when I need a quick fix.

Yes, but nowadays the stores make their own from chickens whose sell-by date is that same day. Then it sits, under a hot light, getting drier and drier. A box of frozen KFC would be much better, I agree.

We get boxes of frozen southern fried chicken here in the UK in the freezer section of the supermarket (it's called something like SFC)..but it's essentially the same..not exactly the same recipe but close as damn it if you're craving a KFC, and nowhere near an available place to get some .

You just oven bake for 45 minutes and it's done...it does tend to be quite a bit more peppery than the original KFC but other than that it's fine as a standby to have in the freezer at home..

RR...I would never buy those chickens the stores cook on a rotisserie and sell hot, for the very reason you state.

I don't think I've ever tried those boxed frozen chix. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
