Kidnapper killed in Idaho, girl found safe !

Not much info available at this time, but CNN is reporting that the man who kidnapped a teenage girl in Southern California, and then fled with her to the mountains of southern Idaho, has been shot and killed by an enhanced SWAT team that went into the mountains to find the two, and rescue the girl.
Law enforcement has had helicoptors in the air, and both 4-wheelers and horseback mounted searchers in the woods searching through the remote mountainous area, after they were spotted by an equestrian a day ago.
The kidnapper was killed by a sniper, and the girl is safe, and was taken to a local hospital for a checkup, but they say she is fine.

TWH..well put. This is such a tragic incident, and the girl no matter if she went willingly or not will be emotionally scarred for life. I hope it was unwilling, and she will not have to carry the guilt feelings of the death of her mother and little brother around with her for life.

Scary to think that this monster was a good friend of her dad's, and no one that knew him suspected he was capable of such terror. It's so hard to trust anyone these days.

I wondered about Stockholm syndrome, but then there's the fire, so that doesn't seem possible, either. Guess we'll know more as time goes by; they're not saying much now for obvious reasons.
I'm just so thankful they were spotted and LE stepped in on time...who knows what else he was capable of if they hadn't been there for her.

Being here in Kalifornica, we had Amber Alert signs going on all the freeways and automatic texts to our phones and constant updates on the news. Got my attention on how brazen and crazy this guy was and was very worried about the girl. After they were spotted by the horse rider knew it wouldn't be long and glad it ended swiftly. Am confident she's getting all the help needed.
